Super Soldiers
The serum used on Emil Blonsky to give him enhanced strength and agility is based on the super soldier serum that created Captain America during World War II.
Mr. Harrington
Credited simply as Computer Nerd, Martin Starr cameos as a student at Culver University. Years later he will go on to be a teacher at the Midtown School of Science and Technology, first seen again in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Presence
The S.H.I.E.L.D. logo can be seen on a computer used by Bruce Banner.
Assembling a Team
Tony Stark appears at the end of the film to speak with General Ross about a team that's being put together, a reference to the Avengers Initiative. The scene is revisited and further explained in the short film, The Consultant.
