MCU Viewing Guide
Phase Six
Marvel Studios’ MCU Phase 6 began with the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps and ends in 2027 with the release of Avengers: Secret Wars, bringing both this phase and the entire Multiverse Saga to a conclusion. While all of the announcements surrounding this phase are not confirmed or set in stone, this phase is set to bring together dozens of characters and storylines in a finale that will reshape the MCU forever.
Because Phase 6 will take place over the next couple of years, this guide will be an ongoing work in progress, so check back often for new additions!
Film: The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Official Synopsis
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel's First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/ Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing—as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. Viewing Order
Because this movie is set in the alternate reality of Earth-828 that resembles the 1960s, the exact year it takes place in is not very important or relevant to the main MCU. However, from the post-credits scene we can infer that the bulk of the movie occurs roughly 4 years before the events of Avengers: Doomsday.
Series: What If…? Season 3
Official Synopsis
Marvel’s animated series What If...? returns in Season 3 for its culminating adventure through the Multiverse. Watch as classic characters make unexpected choices that will mutate their worlds into spectacular alternate versions of the MCU. The Watcher will guide viewers as the series traverses new genres, bigger spectacles, and incredible new characters.
Viewing Order
While the third season of What If…? was technically released in the middle of Phase 5, because that phase already included the second season it makes for a better viewing experience to spread these throughout the entirety of the Multiverse Saga. It also makes some minor references to characters from Ironheart and Fantastic Four, which were released after the season, so it makes more sense to watch it here.
Series: Eyes of Wakanda
Official Synopsis
Eyes of Wakanda follows the adventures of brave Wakandan warriors throughout history. In this globe-trotting adventure, the heroes must carry-out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts from the enemies of Wakanda. They are the Hatut Zaraze and this is their story.
Viewing Order
This anthology series takes place hundreds of years in the past, and other than expanding the lore of Wakanda and the Black Panther, it doesn’t have many connections to the wider MCU. We’ve simply placed it here because it was released during Phase 6.
Series: Marvel Zombies
Official Synopsis
After the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, a desperate group of survivors discover the key to bringing an end to the super-powered undead, racing across a dystopian landscape and risking life and limb to save their world.
Viewing Order
We’ve listed Marvel Zombies here because it was released during Phase 6, but it’s a spin-off and sequel to the zombie-centric episode in the first season of What If…?, so it can be watched anytime after. In addition, because it takes place in an alternate reality, it has no real impact on the timeline of the main MCU.

Series: Daredevil Born Again Season 2

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again takes place less than a year after the conclusion of the first and after Thunderbolts* (according to the official Disney+ timeline), meaning it likely occurs in Fall of 2027.
Special: The Punisher: One Last Kill

As Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge, an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight
Viewing Order
This one-off special doesn’t have a firm place in the timeline other than it takes place sometime after Frank’s escape at the end of Daredevil: Born Again season one, meaning it can really be viewed any time between then and the Punisher’s next appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day takes place in a post-Kingpin New York, setting it firmly after the events of Daredevil: Born Again season two. It’s also been stated that roughly 4 years have passed since Spider-Man: No Way Home, meaning the majority of the movie takes place in the Fall of 2028.
