Part 1.1: Unity/Division
Kicking off in the immediate aftermath of Avengers vs. X-Men, the beginning of the Marvel NOW! era chronicles both the attempts at peace and further divisions that still exist throughout the mutant and superhero communities. While a fragile alliance forms between the two groups in Uncanny Avengers, the X-Men are more divided than ever as Wolverine and Cyclops offer competing visions of the place of mutants in the world. And though on the surface a newly expanded Avengers roster may seem more prepared than ever to deal with world-ending threats, a secret cabal within the group is forced to begin making decisions in order to stave off the early death of the entire universe. For remember: everything dies.
