Part 6: All-New Marvel NOW!

All-New Marvel NOW! Point One #1 Cover

Part 6.1: Starting Point

We’re roughly halfway through this era, so it’s time for a slight refresh in the form of All-New Marvel NOW! While the overarching story of the multiversal incursions continues, before things get too heavy there’s time for a new slate of mostly self-contained stories to take place including Silver Surfer, Black Widow, Hulk, and more. The Point One issue kicks things off and spotlights a number of these series while introducing a new mission for Loki like you’ve never seen before.

Part 6.2: Hero or Menace?

As All-New Marvel NOW! continues, the focus shifts to Marvel’s street-level and morally-dubious characters. The Thunderbolts call it quits, Deadpool gets married, and the Superior Spider-Man deals with more time travel-related chaos all while a new hero races onto the scene in the form of the All-New Ghost Rider! We also check in on Iron Fist, Moon Knight, and the Punisher with fresh takes on each character as they’re revamped for the Marvel NOW! era.

Part 6.3: Revolutionary War

Revolutionary War is a mini-event that has little bearing on the overall trajectory of the Marvel Universe, but it’s worth a read—especially if you’re a fan of Marvel’s UK-based heroes and villains. Most of these characters rarely get the spotlight, so its a fun dive across the pond.

Part 6.4: World of Mutants

The world of mutants continues to expand with new incarnations of fan-favorite teams like X-Force and X-Factor, as well as a new volume of Wolverine and the X-Men. And while a major death may be on the horizon for the X-Men, there’s at least a moment to rejoice with the return of Nightcrawler. Then, the X-Men team up with Iron Man and Nova to rescue Cyclops, but who’s after him and why?

Part 6.5: World of Avengers

In the wake of Thanos’s invasion, the Avengers are more resolved than ever to ensure Earth is protected, but that doesn’t mean their jobs are getting any easier. The main Avengers team is put to the test when they face their evil counterparts from an alternate Earth, and if that wasn’t enough a fresh partnership with Maria Hill’s S.H.I.E.L.D. goes awry on the first day when A.I.M. uses knowledge from the future to affect the past. Elsewhere the survivors from Arcade’s Murder World seek revenge, Iron Patriot strikes out on his own, Captain Marvel takes on a new mission in space, and the New Warriors reform with some unlikely members.

Continuity Note: I’ve put most of Uncanny Avengers here because there are no breaks in the story for most of the series, but the story Rick Remender is telling is pretty disconnected from the rest of the Marvel Universe at this point even though it has some pretty big ramifications for the characters involved.

Part 6.6: The Trial of Jean Grey

The time-displaced Jean Grey currently residing on Earth has done nothing wrong, but that won’t stop the ruthless Shi’ar from making her pay for the future crimes of the Dark Phoenix. When the All-New X-Men have nobody else to help them rescue one of their own, the space-faring Guardians of the Galaxy step-in to lend them some extra firepower. But when the dust settles one of the X-Men might lose a teammate after all, and it may not be who you expect.
